WORSHIP

Worship is the response of praise and adoration to God because of who God is.

“True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” - John 4:23b-24

Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength! Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts! Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth! - Psalm 96:7-9

Practices -

  1. I am actively participating in the Sunday morning worship gatherings.

  2. I am intentionally creating consistent rhythms of praise to God.

  3. I am seeking awareness of idols in my life and accountability to destroy them.

WALK

Walk is the daily rhythm of abiding in Christ that leads to increasing Christlikeness.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.” - John 15:5-8

“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy.” - Colossians 1:9-11

Practices -

  1. I have an intentional plan for regular prayer, bible study, and other spiritual disciplines.

  2. I am regularly evaluating my life and habits in light of God’s truth.

  3. I am in vulnerable spiritual relationships with other believers.

WORK

Work is the stewardship of all that God has given me to lovingly and sacrificially serve the body of Christ.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. - 1 Peter 4:10-11

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. - Galatians 6:9-10

Practices -

  1. I will actively serve as the church body gathers by joining a volunteer serve team at Redeemer.

  2. I will intentionally look for opportunities to lovingly and sacrificially serve others in my Redeemer Discipleship Group as well as others in the broader Redeemer family.

  3. I will know my spiritual gifts and steward them well by using them to serve others throughout the week.

WITNESS

Witness is the obedient love to those in my communities by consistently serving and sharing the gospel.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. - 2 Corinthians 5:17-20

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” - Romans 10:14-15

Practices -

  1. I will have a consistent life of prayer asking for boldness and opportunity (Ephesians 6:20) (Matthew 9:37-38 )

  2. I will consistently serve those in my communities and share the message of the Gospel where I live, work, and play.
